A fantastic trip
Sunny, rainy and a bit windy. The city of Lisbon has it all, especially in spring time. Me and my class have recently visited Lisbon in Portugal. The start of our fantastic trip, was saturday the 17th of march. We arrived at around 10 pm at Safestay Lisbon. We checked in and went to sleep. The following days we have seen many things. We've seen the Jerónimus Monastry which has this beautiful architecture and, my favorite, a space in the middle, where there is grass and 4 paths. If you're ever there, you have to see the center of the Monastry from the second floor.
We have also seen the Belem Tower. The Belem Tower lies in the water, so if you have to enter it you have to cross a bridge. Oh and if it's windy you might need to watch out for the waves hitting the walls and the bridge unless you want to get wet.
One of my favorite things to do down in Lisbon, was just to enjoy the culture. I don't remember which one, but one evening we went down to a place where we listened to a thing called "Fado". Fado is a portuguese song genre, it is beautiful and i think it has a big part of the culture. I even bought a CD with one of the singers for my mother.
We also visited some street art in Lisbon. It was very interesting to see cause I got another perspective of street art. Instead of just seeing it as vandalism, we saw it as actual art.
The trip wasn't just visiting places. We also drank beers and had fun. There was happy hour every evening at 6-8 pm, so you can imagine that we drank alot. Still that didn't stop us from waking up every morning and follow the plan.
We went home the 22nd of march, where we travelled for a bit longer, because the plane to France, where we landed later to take another plane to Denmark, had to wait for clearance to fly. We were home late in the night or early in the morning. I don't really remember, I only remember i was very tired.
Anyways it was a nice trip and I enjoyed having a good time with my friends
