Hey Guys!
I´m back from my trip
to Lisbon. 🇵🇹 🛫
It has been six days
with a lot of amazing people.
Our journey began Saturday morning at 7.30 am.
We meet at Aarhus bus
station and sat the course for Copenhagen Airport, where we later that day
would fly to Lisbon with an intermedia landing in Paris, France. 🇫🇷
The bus trip to
Copenhagen felt like ages. Unfortunately, I was cut off from the rest of the
class in the bus. I sat beside a foreign woman that barely spoke English, most
of the time I just sat there quietly looking out the window and I felt tired
and a little ill.
Already the day before
we left Randers, I began to feel a little (very) ill🤒. It had
been a long day outside riding and taking care of the horses🐎 <3. Next time I must remember to wear
more clothes 😉.
We spend a lot of time
waiting that day. After a long day full of busses, airports, planes and a metro
ride, we only needed to walk up the hills and stairs of Lisbon and it felt like
a blessing when we were able to go to sleep.
Sunday was our first
whole day in Lisbon.
We meet at the hotel´s
reception at 9 am and started walking through the limestone streets of Lisbon.
To see more of the city our teachers had made a treasure hunt with things to
see in the neighborhood. We saw many things on the treasure hunt, but what we
saw most in Lisbon was stairs…. They´re everywhere!
Lisbon may be a very
beautiful city, but you don´t want to be old or disabled if you visit the town.
♿❌
Sunday were we also on
a guided tour to Jerónimos Monastery and the tower of Belem. 🏰 in the
tower there was an old and steep spiral stair. It was a little uncomfortable to
walk down the stair that hasn´t got any rails, 😨 but the best part of
the day was when the class needed to cross the bridge to and from the tower.
When we crossed the bridge, waves would slam onto the path and make whoever were
unfortunate to be on the bridge wet. 🏃🌊
Back at the hotel, most people were planning to go downtown
and party 🎉💃🕺🍻, but I just wanted to sleep 😴
but after some discussions, I
decided to go for a pizza. 🍕
Just like Sunday, we spend most of Monday walking. Doing the night, it
had been raining and the limestone street was very slippery, but we made it to
the castle on the hill 🏰 🎶 (who else sang that?). The weather was very froggy and again
more slippery wet stairs 😨
after lunch we had another guided tour around town this time with focus on
slaves. Before the tour, me and some of my classmates decided to try a
´´tuttut´´. A ´´tuttut´´ is a kind of taxi. And oh boy! That thing was fast. It
was hilarious! 🚛 💨 Back at the hotel, I slept on the floor because I became very dizzy going up and
down the bunk beds.
On Tuesday we were supposed to go on a street art tour
🎨 🖌️, but we had talked past the tour guide, so we rescheduled to
Wednesday. Instead we got the day off and I went back to the hotel to take a
nap. 😴 Later that evening we
meet at the hotel to go to a small restaurant where we ate tapas and heard some
of the traditional fado music. 🎶 💃 I went straight home to the hotel to sleep some more. 😴<3
Wednesday was our last day in Lisbon before going
home. I was still sick and felt very ill,
so I decided to stay at the hotel while the others went on the street art tour
and tried the tram.

I don´t remember much of
the trip home. I slept most of it and just couldn´t wait to get home. So, when we were told that the French
workers were on a strike and we might have to wait before we could get home. I
felt very nervous. Fortunately, we made it after a quick run through the airport
in Paris. 🇫🇷 💨 We arrived at Paderup the night between
Thursday and Friday.
